Tutoring and Exam Preparation Services
Among the services I provide as an educational consultant are review and preparation for the SAT and ACT exams. My consulting business was established in 2007, and is grounded in my 25 years as a college faculty member and 20-year career in higher education administration specializing in student success programs, including academic advising, tutoring, mentoring, and first-year experience programs.

Approach: When helping students prepare for or improve on their past performance on the SAT and ACT, I utilize a triangulated approach including diagnostic assessments, linked skill review, and test-taking strategies. Drawing on my knowledge of positive psychology and wellness I also include some coverage of mindfulness and relaxation as a way of helping clients achieve a positive mental outlook on the tests.
Fees: $80/hour for one-on-one exam review (10 hour minimum); hourly rates decrease with the addition of a 2nd or 3rd student who is following the same program and attending the same meetings.
